About Me

I graduated with a BSc at Dalhousie University in 2021 with a combined honors in Ocean Science and Marine Biology. I am currently in Dr. Katja Fennel’s Marine Environmental Modelling Group as a MSc student at Dalhousie University.

My current interest in science has been on the ecology of phytoplankton, specifically how their biomass and productivity is distributed across space and time. My research leverages measurements made by autonomous underwater vehicles (e.g., gliders and floats) deployed in the ocean as well as space satellites. I’m interested in topics that involve the development of optical techniques for describing phytoplankton biogeography, phenology, photo-physiology, and biogeochemistry
